Why do so many Atheists argue morality if all atheism is not believing in God(s)?

If you talk to an Atheist, eventually they will say all "atheism" is not believing in God or Gods. But they also say God did not create the universe or that our morals do not come from God. It seems like Atheism is more then disbelief in God.
