Should i be mad at my bf for this?comparing her to me.?

Sorry to say honey but your bf is bit more wired. Love is love it cant be compared or be measured. If he just reciprocate the way you love him than its not that great love relationship. You love him than he love you, and what if some time you are on bad terms and not able to express love than he will wait for your move to love you and than he will express his love, is sounding irritating. He is not in love with you nor he loved his ex, and he is the reason why his ex gf left him, probably you were not able to find it out on your previous stage of relationship which is again common becaue we know person only when we spent some time with him or her.
