D5000 lcd viewfinder?

So i'm looking to buy a lcd viewfinder for the d5000. the problem is, that most of the lcd viewfinders are built for lcds that are 3", while the d5000 has the odd size of being 2.7". However, when I measured the lcd of a d3s and the screen of the d5000, the difference was almost negligible. I was wondering if anyone had tried a lcd viewfinder on the swivel screen of the d5000?
